Published July 26, 2018
The fire chiefs of Haliburton County announced in a press release this morning that the fire ban has been lifted.
However, they caution that despite recent rain the ground cover is dry and caution should be exercised with any fire.
Standard burning regulations are still in effect, and the following rules need to be adhered to:
No daytime burning is allowed
All fires must be attended by a competent person at all times
You must have a means of extinguishment readily available
Fires must be completely extinguished before going to bed or leaving the fire
Any questions should be forwarded to the Fire Chief in your Municipality.
